Sr. Human Resources Business Partner at Ten Gun Design in Edmond

The Sr. HR (Human Resources) Business Partner will be the company-wide connector for TGD’s People & Culture business unit. The Sr. Business HR Business Partner will manage all sides of Policies & Procedures, Compliance, HRIS (Human Resources Information System) system, Benefits, Onboarding and Offboarding, Performance Management, Employee Relations, and HR & Benefits Communications.  This role will report to the Head of People, Culture & DEI (HoPCD).

As Sr. Business HR Business Partner your key responsibilities are:

People Relations:

  • Maintain a day-to-day presence across the agency and promote People & Culture as a point of contact for all things People across the agency.
  • Manage day-to-day Employee Relations. Notify HoPC upon discovery of any employee-relations issues and escalations.
  • Design & develop HR Policies and Procedures and create best practices for TGD.
  • Responsible for BambooHR (BHR) system integrity, training, compliance, analytics, reports, edits, and changes for our People.
  • Manage PERs (Performance Evaluation Reviews) and supply feedback on areas of improvement and success to HoPCD.
  • Strategize on solutions to resolve adverse feedback or capitalize on positive feedback.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance and documentation of signed Offers, I-9s, NDAs, and NSAs.
  • Maintain TGD’s Policies & Procedures, or SOPs policies in our Business Units.
  • Be current on all Federal, State, and local laws of Washington State, and other states where TGD employees talent.
  • Analyze data trends to contribute to positive change initiatives within the agency.
  • Produce ad hoc reports for HoPC to include Retention, Attrition, and NPS, Wellness Checks per pre-determined schedules
  • Partner with HoPC to roll out innovative programs and initiatives.


  • Manage policies and procedures and communications for all TGD benefits, partnering with Benefits Plan Administrators to keep our people healthy.  Review plan administrators annually, to ensure fairness and review of plans for best-in-class Benefits for our People.
  • Responsible for all leaves of absence and updating employee records, and troubleshooting any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Communicate all Benefits information to include changes, what’s new, and what’s coming, and update and distribute holiday schedules to the People.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Assist HoPC in designing People practices that support business goals.
  • Assist with the overall Employee Experience for New Hire Orientation (Benefits & P&Ps), onboarding, and new People check-ins.
  • Offboarding former employees to gather information about their experience with TGD. Work with HoPCD to keep compliance, update helps any job records, and troubleshoot any issues or concerns that may arise.


  • Partner with HoPC in managing the annual compensation process, ensuring prompt communication with employees, and troubleshooting any issues.
  • Partner with Payroll for all monthly compensation through BambooHR (BHR).

Training & Development:

  • Assist HoPC with the design and development of training curriculums for but not limited to Management 101, Performance Reviews, Employee Relations, HRIS Management, and Talent Acquisition.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HoPC to track and check Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives every quarter.
  • Partner with HoPC in TGDs Employee Experience, DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and Kick it Committee efforts and supply feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Operations and IT for any ad hoc requests.
  • Day-to-day HR decision-making of ad hoc requests or inquiries.


  • 7+ years’ experience in People Operations and/or HR; HR Generalist, Manager, or Business Partner
  • SPHR or PHR certification
  • Exceptional HR acumen
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Benefits Administration; compliance with our Benefits, Employment laws, and State and Federal Laws; People in 20++ states
  • Positivity, professionalism, and great social skills
  • Ability to change and be flexible.
  • Agency experience is BIG.
  • Always have solutions in mind when managing up
  • Meticulous and organized.
  • Strong writing, communication, and people skills
  • Experience managing highly confidential data.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business administration, or a related field

Compensation & Details:

TGD is currently working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a Washington State-based company. This role must live in the state of Washington and be willing to move to the Greater Seattle Area once we return to work or an evolved hybrid model.
