Job Duties & Expectations:
- Exercise substantial discretion and independent judgment to recruit and source dedicated, hardworking teammates
- Substantial local travel to facilities in Puget Sound area and Yakima to learn talent needs and provide full cycle talent acquisition service, advice and counsel to internal manager clients
- Advise and counsel managers to create and process job requisition forms
- Create and place job postings on the appropriate websites
- Will sometimes work with third-party staffing agencies to fill selected
- Create and maintain ATS records for all open positions
- Review and evaluate resumes to determine applicant qualifications
- Proactively scour job search websites for potential recruits and contact those candidates
- Work with hiring managers to determine key job competencies and to craft interview questions accordingly
- Initiate, manage, execute and assess recruiting, career fair and other hiring initiatives
- May develop sourcing strategies to produce more and/or higher quality applicants
- May conduct phone screens and participate in in-person interviews
- May schedule pre-employment drug screens and coordinate background checks
- Maintain accurate and updated information in ATS for both individual applicants and all open
- May schedule and deliver new hire orientation/onboarding for new hires
- Create, track and report on appropriate recruiting metrics (e.g., time to hire, average tenure, etc.)
Essential Job Functions:
- Frequent and periodic thinking, reasoning, speaking, reading (English), writing (English), receiving and processing information, recollecting, sitting, standing, walking, squatting, climbing, and driving for multiple sequential periods of 60 minutes or more; pulling, pushing, lifting 20 pounds or more at a
- Professionally and courteously providing internal and external customer services
- Operating pc, computer, telephone and other basic office equipment 6-10 hours per day
- Able to complete required paperwork accurately and completely
Requirements
- 2 years’ recruiting experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in recruiting
- Effective negotiating skills
- Extensive knowledge of applicant tracking software programs
- Familiarity with online job posting websites
- Ability to travel as needed (typically local by car)
Preferences
- Bilingual (Spanish) would be a bonus
- Familiarity and experience recruiting drivers, office professionals and trades/blue-collar workers
